Alpine Meadows Retreat and Conference Center is owned and operated by Camp Mountain Chai, a non-profit organization headquartered in San Diego, California. The retreat center is dedicated to providing children and adults of all religions, races and economic status with extraordinary outdoor experiences in the beautiful San Bernardino National Forest.
The wild lands of the San Bernardino National Forest were designated a National Forest more than one hundred years ago. Originally, the forest was home to Native Americans. The National Forest serves as southern California’s outdoor year-around recreation destination, as well as providing valuable watershed protection. It has 679,380 National Forest acreage. There are 71 threatened, endangered, and sensitive animal species and 616 prehistoric archaeological sites. Elevations range from 4,200 to over 10,000 feet.
